Meme: passion quilt

 busy bees in web2.0

I’ve been tagged for this meme by sirexkat and hockeymom1799.  Since working and experimenting with web2.0 tools in the classroom, this picture captures the essence of that classroom. First, it is such a busy one - busy for me learning how to use them, and then how to apply them for educational use. Bees are always busy and that is really how I like to be and for my classes to be. The yellow of the sunflower symbolises the brightness blogging, podcasting and digital storytelling have brought to my classroom, and soon the sunflower’s seeds will be released to enable future sunflowers to grow and generate. My students will also be given the ’seeds’ to enable them to be lifelong learners and good digital citizens. (I would like to sincerely thank my teaching colleague Denise Regan for allowing me to use this image.)

 Here are the rules:

  1. Think about what you are passionate about teaching your students.
  2. Post a picture from a source like Flickr or Flickr Creative Commons or make/take your own that captures what YOU are most passionate about for kids to learn about and give your picture a short title.
  3. Title your blog post Meme: Passion Quilt and link back to this blog entry.
  4. Include links to 5 folks in your professional learning network or whom you follow on Twitter/Pownce.

I look forward to seeing the images that emapey, paulhami, ggrosseck, jeffwhipple and rubrai post onto their blog.
