Tasks for year 7 and 9/10
Year 7
Check the final post for the competition. It is rather similar to the questions that I set you, but there are some different ones. Can you finish my questions and add those of Miss Wyatt’s (you will find her last prompt by clicking on the link above for the competition)? Dont forget to tag the post with stubc08. Complete the other tasks that I have set for you. Your replacement teacher will give you these instructions.
Year 9/10
You have two major tasks, so please read carefully, all the instructions below.
As this is your last week of formal classes and as the cross culture blogging has one last post, could you please make sure that you complete the following tasks as this will be a vital evaluation of the success of the project. Please also remember to go to the various teachers involved and thank them as a comment on their blogs.
-
Topic: How do you think about this culture exchange project through blogs? What do you like or dislike about this activity? Any suggestions for future improvement?
-
Reply to at least two other students’ blogs from ANOTHER COUNTRY or respond to all people within your group.
Then go to the following blogs, especially the first two as these were the organisers and co-ordinators and leave them a thank you comment and give you blog post url so they can check out your responses to this post prompt.
- Learn, Share and Grow by Ms Lee, Texas
- World Geography by Ms Hollrah, Texas
- Wilcox Across Cultures by Mr Wilcox, California
- Utksa1 by Ms Kim, Korea (Do not forget to thank her for the parcel that we received as well.)
Second task is for collaborationnation students. One of their students will ask the question this week, so you will need to go to Mr Bogush’s blog and his post should direct you to the student post. Answer the question as a post on your blog, copy your post and paste it as a comment on the collaborationnation’s post. Check out the replies that Kellie got on her question about sport.
Flatclassroom project girls, you will need to complete all your filming on Monday, or first lesson on Tuesday and start to stitch them all together. If you have not received the converted flv files yet, flurogreen, you may have to download modzilla firefox and the extra toolbars as found in the instructions on the wiki and ask to have them converted again. I fear that 48 hours has been so you will need to go again. Follow the wonderful video tutorials that Ms Davis has set up for you to follow. The three girls going to Qatar will need to fill in the online registration form. See you on Thursday. email me at mirtschin@gmail.com if you have any pressing queries.
